Janine started RVG Law to break the mould of legal services in New Zealand, she wants to build better relationships with her clients through more efficient services. Commercial property and business law is Steve’s bread and butter. He’s spent 23 years honing his knowledge and giving robust, informed advice to his clients and their businesses. Now, he’s co-founded RVG so he can get them even better results. Steve’s been involved in some big property deals over the years (and some small ones too) and it just never gets old for him. He knows yields, he knows square metre rates, he knows banks. He knows clauses and contracts and what landlords and developers can use to their advantage. He’s done syndications. He looks after lots of large developers and landlords throughout the South Island, and is always keen to look after more. When it comes to starting, selling, running, scaling and selling your business, Steve’s the guy to talk to. He’ll guide you through everything, he’ll make sure you’re covered for any issues which may present down the track, but most of all, he’ll actually give you advice you can use. Steve leverages his experience and legal nous to give his clients solid answers. No fence sitting. No wishy-washy options. He cuts to the chase quickly and clearly, using plain English to offer an expert opinion you can trust.

Meet Tim. Tim is a savvy commercial lawyer with some pretty impressive experience under his belt. He’s worked with the leading law firms throughout New Zealand and London, where he has dabbled in some hefty commercial transactions, managed some formidable clients, and come up with some impressively practical solutions to complicated problems. Yeah, he’s a bit of a whizz. Tim is all about strategy, and thrives providing expert legal advice - especially when it comes to all things business and property related. We’ve seen how Tim’s deep understanding of the business world adds an extra layer of value for his clients, too.

Another co-founder and another property law guru, Emily turns the hard and complex bits of the property ladder into more of a convenient, easy-access escalator for her clients. Emily’s done the hard yards for her clients, working on everything from sales and purchases of residential and commercial property, through to mitigating Canterbury earthquake issues. Her expertise in working with developers on large residential subdivisions and Unit Title developments has seen her become quite the sought after legal mind.

Bridgette is our star Associate who has been continuously kicking goals for us and our clients over the last few years.  She touched almost all areas of property & business law and she's really very good at what she does!

Steph is our newest, bright star solicitor from Otago University. She's just recently been admitted to the Legal Bar but has already had plenty of hands-on experience since the start of 2021. She's enjoying the RVG environment so far and is looking forward to ripping into the work.

Holly is our legal exec legend in our Christchurch office. She’s worked with Janine and Emily for years and is mad keen on conveyancing.  She's recently completed all her exams with flying colours and is now fully registered.  She owns her own house too so call Holly for anything related to property and she’ll know what to do.

Jo is the new boss of our Christchurch office.  She's only just recently joined the team but has hit the ground running and is luving it! She's our right hand, left hand, both arms and feet, central nervous system woman.  You get the idea.  Call Jo for anything and she'll know what to do.

Michelle is the boss of RVG Law’s Queenstown office. She’s more like the backbone, actually. She makes things happen. She gets it done. As our administration professional, Michelle doesn’t just have her finger on the pulse of everything happening at RVG - she IS the pulse. Without Michelle, we don’t know where we’d be.
